ARRI 1TB CODEX Drive Express: The CODEX Compact Drive Express 1TB was created exclusively to allow Apple ProRes recording on the ALEXA 35. The Drive offers 960 GB usable capacity and up to 8 Gbps (~950 MB/s) write speed, so you reach the same max fps for Apple ProRes recording as the regular 1TB Drive. ALEXA 35 recording capacity at 24 fps- approx. 1hr 20min UHD Apple ProRes 4444XQ- approx. 2hrs UHD ProRes 4444. Notes- This drive is only supported in the ALEXA 35 and ALEXA 35 Live. It does not work in any other camera. The Compact Drive Express 1TB is marked with a white ring.
CODEX Compact Drive Reader (USB-C): The CODEX Compact Drive Reader is a cost-effective, bus-powered, single-slot card reader/writer that can be used to access data stored on CODEX Compact Drives. The base of the reader contains a magnetic plate which allows you to securely stack readers on top of each other. The reader is bus-powered via USB-C connector (compatible with Thunderbolt 3), offering a USB 3.2 Gen 2 interface (backwards compatible), that will work on macOS and Windows. Original camera files can be copied using your preferred data management application. 1-year limited warranty. The transfer time varies depending on the system configuration, like speed of target drive and specification of the USB port (USB 3.2 Gen 2, i.e. 10 Gbps and 3 A power required to allow full performance). USB-C cable included.
