*300 meters is measured when the transmitter is connected to the receiver in an open, unobstructed, and interference-free environment. When the transmitter is connected to Insta360 X5 in an open, unobstructed, and interference-free environment, the transmission range is about 30-50 meters, which may be affected by device orientation, camera shooting modes, and other factors.

Connecting the Transmitter to a USB-C Device via Receiver
Plug the Receiver into the USB-C port of your phone, tablet or computer as shown in image.
Long press the button on the Receiver for 3 seconds to power it on. The Transmitter and Receiver will pair automatically (flashing light on the indicator light for both will stop).
Press the button on the Transmitter once to turn it on (after or after plugging in the Receiver). It will automatically enter pairing mode (flashing light begins then becomes solid once pairing is complete).
After the transmitter is recognized and lit up, the Transmitter will be ready to use.
The Transmitter will automatically connect to the paired Receiver every time both devices are powered on.
Connecting the Transmitter to an Insta360 camera via Bluetooth
To connect the Transmitter to a camera for the first time, long press the Transmitter button for 3 seconds to power it on and enter Pairing Mode. The indicator light will flash quickly.
When connecting the Transmitter to the camera, enable the camera’s power-on screen. On device menu, open the Bluetooth list under Settings > More. Tap “Search for Accessories” and select “Insta360 Mic Air” to connect via the “Insta360” label. If connection is successful, the Transmitter’s indicator will turn solid blue.
Press the button on the Transmitter once to take a photo or enable proxy mode (trigger remote-recording). Press three times to toggle audio.
After pairing, the Transmitter will reconnect automatically the next time both the Transmitter and device are powered on.
To reconnect to a different Insta360 camera, ensure the Transmitter is powered off. Hold long press the button for 3+ seconds to enter Pairing Mode. The indicator light will flash quickly. Connect in the same method as described in step 2.
The Transmitter will automatically connect to the previously paired Receiver or camera when powered on. Double press the Transmitter’s side button to switch pairing modes and to connect to the other device while pairing.
