Overview
The Laowa 7.5mm f/2 MFT lens is designed exclusively for Micro Four Thirds cameras and features rectilinear optics, an ultra fast f2 maximum aperture, and is the worlds widest lens for MFT mount. Weighing just 170g and with a removable lens hood, this lens also accepts 46mm filters. Please note that the color of this lens may differ from the lightweight black version and images are for display purposes only.
This ultra wide lens gives a field of view equivalent to a 15mm lens on 35mm sensors, making it perfect for landscape and astro-photography. It is also available in a lightweight version for aerial photography and is compatible with Panasonic, Olympus, and Blackmagic cameras. The lens has no electronic connections with drones or gimbals, but its ultra-fast aperture and wide angle of view make it ideal for low-light and vlogging situations. Additionally, the lens features a 46mm thread for easy installation of filters and is constructed with lightweight materials, making it a great everyday lens for MFT users.

About the Laowa 7.5mm f/2 Ultra Wide – MFT

This lens is currently the widest rectilinear lens available for Micro Four Thirds cameras. It gives a field of view equivalent to a 15 mm lens on 35 mm sensors. This allows MFT users to enjoy an impressive 110° ultra wide angle of view for a broad range of shooting. The wide angle of view and ultra-fast aperture are extremely valuable for astro-photography. This lens is super compact and lightweight for casual on-the-go use. A ultra-light version is also available for aerial photography usage.
The Laowa 7.5mm f/2 MFT is compatible with Panasonic, Olympus & Blackmagic cameras with Micro Four Thirds lens mounts. The lightweight version is specially designed for drones & gimbal usage. Please note: the lens has no electronic connections with the drones/gimbals and therefore, there is no electronic control of the aperture or focus.
Ultra Wide for MFT
The Laowa 7.5mm f/2 MFT is the widest f/2 rectilinear lens ever designed for Micro Four Thirds cameras. Despite the impressive specifications, Laowa has successfully reduced the weight to less than 200 g (7 oz.) and length to only 55 mm (2.16 in.) long. The optical performance and distortion control are outstanding.
Gives a field of view equivalent to 15mm lenses in full frame sensors. This allows M43 users to take impressive landscape pictures by using the 110 degree ultra wide angle of view. Ultra-fast f/2 aperture will also be embraced by everyone especially the Astro-and landscape photographers. Even though Laowa 7.5mm lens is very compact and lightweight is houses has superb optics. Easy to install Filters
Beyond its small form factor, this lens also features a notable optical design that incorporates two aspherical elements and three Extra-low dispersion elements to control distortion and aberrations for improved clarity and sharpness. The front has a 46mm thread for screw-in filters – offering creative and exposure control for landscape photography.

The Standard & Lightweight versions of the Laowa 7.5mm f/2 are now available. They share the same optical design but differ in weight. Both have metal construction, but, we carefully designed and replaced some of the materials to lower the weight from 200 g (Standard) to 150 g (Lightweight). The Lightweight version is specially designed to work with drones.
