Fully adjustable to increase or decrease the amount of light entering the lens over a precise two to five stop range, without affecting the image colour. LEE Elements Variable NDs combine fluid-smooth adjustment rings, with positive end stops and clearly defined stop markers to achieve exactly the desired amount of density adjustment and prevent cross polarisation.

- All threads use a 3 point start to ensure easy and accurate fitment with reduced possibility of cross threading
- All filters are assembled in house by hand at LEE Filters in the UK
- All optics (glass elements) are multi coated (up to 16 layers model dependent) including anti-scratch, hydrophobic, oleophobic (fingerprint) resistant, anti-reflective
- The VND series are all marked with clear stop values which are pre-calibrated at point of assembly.
- The VND’s are designed to be colour neutral and offer the maximum range of adjustment without suffering any cross polarisation effect (Black cross/banding)
- Multi-Element filters such as the VND’s are assembled in a dedicated ‘clean-room’ dust free environment to eliminate the chances of contamination between elements
- Rotating filters such as the VND’s and Polariser use specially chosen lubricants to maintain smooth motion with balanced resistance even across extreme -/+ temperature variables
- All filters are supplied in a dedicated impact resistant padded case designed for use out in the field
- Stackable Stoppers allow multiple filter combinations for a variety of shooting conditions
- The design enables quick and easy attachment, without the need for a filter holder system
- Both densities of VND offer clearly defined numeric stop positions and a rotational limit to eliminate the risk of cross-polarisation.
