Overview
The Sennheiser EW-DX is a four-channel digital full-rack receiver with an internal PSU and Dante, housed in a rugged metal casing. It has a switching bandwidth of up to 88 MHz and an auto-switching PSU with an IEC connection. The receiver also features four network ports that can be configured for various purposes, such as control, Dante, or a combination of both. Additionally, it has an integrated antenna splitter with antenna power and the ability to daisy chain up to 16 channels. The system boasts a low latency of 1.9 ms thanks to the proprietary Sennheiser Performance Audio Codec (SePAC) and a high input dynamic range of 134 dB, eliminating the need to set gain on wireless transmitters.
The EW-DX is network-enabled, allowing for expanded remote control through Sennheiser Control Cockpit, Wireless System Manager, and third-party media control systems. It has Ethernet connectivity and secure transmission of confidential content using AES 256 encryption. The receiver also has an AutoScan feature that quickly scans the environment and deploys frequencies with equidistant channel spacing, as well as a Link Quality Indicator (LQI) to show the quality of links separate from RF levels. With a user-friendly interface, extended menu settings, and worldwide usage, the Sennheiser EW-DX is a versatile and reliable tool for professional audio needs.
