Overview
The Bolt 6 Series is the latest addition to the Bolt 4K family, offering smaller, lighter, and quieter transmitters and receivers. It also comes with a built-in 5-pin USB for camera control and is backwards compatible with Bolt 4K. The new series boasts 12 new frequency channels, long range video quality improvements, and an SDI Eye pattern. Additionally, the 6GHz version has no DFS channels and is included in the new Ultra 5 Bolt, all at the same price as Bolt 4K.
The Bolt 6 Series is the industrys first 6GHz wireless solution, expanding the capabilities of Bolt 4K into the recently-unlocked U-NII 5 frequency spectrum. This allows for a wider bandwidth and reduced signal congestion in challenging RF environments. The Bolt 6 transmits and receives over both 6GHz and 5GHz frequencies, and is fully cross-compatible with all Bolt 4K devices. The projected release for the 6GHz version in the EU is Q1 2023.
