Overview
The Audio Technica BP40 Dynamic Voice Microphone is a top-of-the-line microphone designed specifically for professional broadcast applications. Its large diaphragm and hypercardioid directivity provide excellent off-axis rejection, making it ideal for use in radio and post production studios. However, its sensitivity to plosives and transitories makes it important to use the included multilayered windscreen for superior filtration.
In addition to its impressive sound quality, the BP40 also features a low-cut switchable filter and a patented “floating edges” design for optimal performance. Its Humbucking voice coil prevents electromagnetic interference, ensuring reliable use in professional broadcasting environments. And with its all metal rugged construction and included AT8483 clip, the BP40 is a durable and versatile choice for any audio recording or broadcasting need.

About the Audio Technica BP40 Microphone
Audio Technica’s largest dynamic diaphragm the BP40 Dynamic voice microphone provides natural sound reproduction for a variety of applications – radio, recording, post production … thanks to its hypercardioid providing optimal isolation of the sound source and excellent off-axis rejection. The 37mm capsule with a patented “floating edges” design optimises the surface of the membrane and maximises performance, while the humbucking coil (for noise compensation) prevents the risk of electromagnetic interference (EMI) (generated by the video monitors, power supplies, etc). Due to its robust, all metal construction, the BP40 will be ideal in broadcast environments.
