Bright Tangerine Left NATO Rail – RED KOMODO / X is designed to build a compact and efficient RED rig. The Left Side NATO Rail features secure screw threads and a quick-release NATO rail without blocking KOMODO airflow, making it ideal for lightweight support and lens adaptor compatibility. The rail accommodates a broad range of Lens Adaptors and Supports, including native RED PL Adaptor mounts, and is made from aerospace-grade aluminium for durability.
The Left Side NATO Rail is easy to install with all required screws included, and is compatible with both RED KOMODO and KOMODO-X series of cameras. It offers various mounting points for accessories, including helicoiled screw threads and a full-length rail with integrated safety stops. Precisely engineered to maximise rigging real-estate whilst minimising the footprint, this Side Rail features a set of secure screw threads and a quick-release NATO rail – all without blocking KOMODO airflow. For lightweight support and lens adaptor compatibility, the Left Side Rail is a great first step in building the perfect RED rig.
Easy Rigging
With the Left Side NATO Rail, you’ve got a selection of rigging options in a compact footprint. For classic bolt-on accessories, you’ve got 1/4″” and 3/8” threads – but for quick-release components, the Side Rail has an integrated NATO rail. To keep your gear safe, each thread has a helicoil-reinforced steel insert to prevent loosening, and the NATO rail features a safety stop.
Support your Supports
Got a new set of primes and want to switch things up? The Left Side Rail accommodates a broad range of Lens Adaptors and Supports: not just our own options for Vocas and Kippertie, but also native RED PL Adaptor mounts. This means that you can support your setup with any lens – from ARRI to Zeiss.
Built to Last
We’ve made a lot of changes to the KOMODO Side Rails, but the one thing that didn’t need changing was the quality. As with all Bright Tangerine gear, the Side Rail is made from aerospace-grade aluminium for the perfect balance of weight and durability. Whether its long shoot schedules, clumsy ACs, and weather that wasn’t on the call sheet; the Side Rail can take the punishment.
Instructions/Assembly
The Left Side NATO Rail for RED KOMODO and KOMODO-X comes with all required screws, but you will require your own 3mm Hex Key in order to install it.
1. Align the Side Rail with the left-hand side of the KOMODO camera body – making sure that the Bright Tangerine logo is the correct way up and facing outwards.
2. Use a 3mm Hex Key to screw the Side Rail into place.
