Overview
The Sony PXW-FX9 V-mount Plate is a milled aluminum product that serves as an alternative power option to the Sony XDCA-FX9. It mounts directly onto the back of the FX9 camera and provides a secure platform for on-board batteries with its 19.5v DC output and visual low battery warning LED. It also features multiple power options, including two powertaps, two 4-pin hirose, a 5v USB, and a 1/4-20 thread for attaching accessories.
Additionally, the FX9 plate allows for hotswapping between external and on-board power with its 4-pin XLR DC input. It is compatible with BP-U30 or BP-U35 battery packs, which can be hotswapped for continuous power. To make it easier to attach and detach the plate, M4-8mm thumbscrews can be purchased separately. The plate also has a USB micro firmware update port for future compatibility with camera firmware updates.

About the CoreSWX Sony PXW-FX9 V-Mount Plate
The Core SWX FX9 plates mounts directly to the back of the Sony PXW-FX9, as an alternative power option to the Sony XDCA-FX9. The milled aluminum product inserts into the battery slot of the camera and also attaches into the top of the camera (with included screw hardware) to provide a secure platform for mounting on-board batteries directly onto the FX9 camera. It has a 19.5v DC output with a visual low battery warning LED and a 4-pin XLR DC input for hotswapping between external and on-board power. In addition, it’s equipped with two powertaps, two 4-pin hirose, a 5v USB, one 1/4-20 thread on the top to attach an accessory, and a USB micro firmware update port on the rear to ensure future compatibility with camera firmware updates.
A BP-U30 or BP-U35 battery pack fits inside of the battery cavity on the camera, allowing the user to hotswap batteries. Once the v-mount on-board pack dies, it will automatically pull power from the BP-U30 and you will see the battery indication on the viewfinder change. To make it easier to take the CXV-FX9 plate on-and-off, M4-8mm thumbscrews can be purchased separately.
