The generous image circle (Ø44.71mm) enhances image quality by reducing vignetting, providing optimal coverage for the widely used ARRI Alexa LF 4.5K Open Gate (Ø44.71mm) and best use of the resolution without cropping. The Ø44.71mm imaging area covers full-frame sensors, as well as 16:9, 3:2, and 4:3 formats, allowing easy output to 2:1, 2.25:1, 2.66:1, and 2.4:1 aspect ratios while maintaining quality.

Beyond Full Frame Coverage
The generous image circle (Ø44.71mm) enhances image quality by reducing vignetting, providing optimal coverage for the widely used ARRI Alexa LF 4.5K Open Gate (⌀44.71mm) and best use of the resolution without cropping. The ⌀44.71mm imaging area covers full-frame sensors, as well as 16:9, 3:2, and 4:3 formats, allowing easy output to 2:1, 2.25:1, 2.66:1, and 2.4:1 aspect ratios while maintaining quality.
Constant 1.5x Squeeze Ratio
With a 1.5x squeeze ratio, the Laowa Nanomorph achieves a 2.66:1 aspect ratio on a 16:9 sensor after de-squeeze, delivering a much more pronounced anamorphic and cinematic look compared to a 1.33x anamorphic lens.
Consistent Bokeh from Centre to Edge
The shape of the bokeh changes from the centre to the edges of the frame, sometimes taking on a “moon-shaped” appearance, which can occasionally
be distracting. In contrast, the Nanomorph LF delivers a more consistent bokeh across the frame.
Waterfall Bokeh
The iris ranges from T2.9 to T22 across the entire series, enabling filming in all lighting conditions and meeting the dynamic demands of on-set

Great Flexibility in Composition
Many anamorphic lenses on the market exhibit over compressed edge near the edges of the frame, causing the size and shape of objects to change (i.e.
swimming effect), especially when positioned near the edges. This limits cinematographers’ creative freedom in composition and is generally not a
‘characteristic’ they seek in their work. In contrast, the Nanomorph LF offers excellent control over the performance of the edge.

The long focus throw (270°) allows for precise adjustments when focusing, which enhances control over depth of field and focus effects. It offers smooth transitions between focus points.
Easy Back Focus Calibration
This mechanism always allows calibrate the back focus on site easily and quickly.
Interchangeable Mounts
The innovative interchangeable mount system allows to change the mount on your lens to match your different cameras. Each lens mount kit includes shims for micro-adjustment of flange depth to get the perfect fit every time. By default, Nanomorph LF comes in Arri PL mount. However, additional interchangeable
bayonets are available for purchase.
