Overview
The SBAC-T40 is a portable memory reader/writer that allows for direct Thunderbolt 3 connectivity with the latest Macs. This eliminates the need for an external power supply as it is powered by the same cable. It is compatible with both Mac OS and Windows and is ideal for stable, high-speed 4K video file transfers, desktop browsing, and video editing. However, it is not currently supported by Apple products using the M1 chipset and will only work with Macs using the Intel chipset. An updated driver supporting Apple silicon is expected in Spring 2022.
The SBAC-T40 is specifically designed for use with SxS removable memory cards and offers faster transfer speeds compared to SxS PRO+. For example, a 38-minute 4K@60p video clip stored as a 240GB XAVC-I file can be transferred in just 3.5 minutes. It is a compact, lightweight, and durable device, making it perfect for on-the-go use. The Thunderbolt 3 interface is a trademark of Intel Corporation and transfer speeds may vary depending on the host device, OS version, and usage conditions.
